Party Scene. Lots of bars and options. No happy hour and drinks are expensive. College Senior. 11 days ago. Party Scene. Most students live in dorms and so there doesn't seem to be much of an undergrad party scene but it could all be happening under the radar. For grad students there are tons of bars and things happening. College Senior. 11 days ago. Academics. You have the best of the best here all leaders in there field that are doing incredible things. You also have endless options of what you want to do and study. College Senior. 11 days ago. Diversity. Very diverse by race and location. It does seem to skew towards higher income levels but that has many reasons for being so. College Senior. 11 days ago. Drug Safety. I haven't experienced any issues with drug or alcohol, people are really here to get to work and make the most of the time here. College Senior. 11 days ago. Overall Experience. It lives up to a lot of the hype. It is very expensive and as such has a lot more people who come from higher income backgrounds (a positive and negative). If you are going into an employable career, it's the right choice. College Senior. 11 days ago. Health & Safety. It seems extremely safe on campus and people are very welcoming and accepting. College Senior. 11 days ago. Overall Experience. The opportunities and internships are top shelf. There are so many amazing people you have access to and experiences you can find. College Senior. 11 days ago. Campus Housing. I don't live on campus but from friends I here it is very overpriced for what you get. Overall it is livable and no big gripes other than price, great locations. College Senior. 11 days ago. Greek Life. Don't really know that much about Greek Life here, for grad students it's a non- issue and doesn't seem overly important to students. College Senior. 11 days ago. Athletics. The gyms and everything are pretty nice but nothing to write home about. Not as nice as I thought they'd be. College Senior. 11 days ago. Overall Experience. The main thing is all the relationships you create and access to opportunities you have. The extracurriculars, people, and internships I have access to are much more important than the actual classes. College Freshman. Overall Experience. I really enjoy the seminars and smaller classes but even the larger lecture classes are interesting. Every professor is incredible and world class, so it is just such an incredible environment. College Freshman. Overall Experience. It's Harvard, with the biggest, richest alumni in the world. College Freshman. Health & Safety. I feel safe on campus and they are pushing a lot about preventing sexual assault. They have an amnesty policy on drinking if anyone needs help which is reassuring. They care about the students and everyone being okay. College Freshman. Campus Housing. I absolutely love the housing system here, my roommates, my entryway and my yard. Our quad is spacious with a fireplace and our common room and kitchen are great. College Freshman. Greek Life. Greek life isn't a big part of the school. College Freshman. Athletics. A surprising number of people are varsity athletes and are world class. College Freshman. Overall Experience. Harvard surprised me in it's ability to be one of the most amazing schools in the world, but also a home. The people I have met, and the community here is unparalleled, so any doubts I had about college were squashed when I arrived. College Freshman. Jul 2. 1Overall Experience. I absolutely love Harvard and everything that is has to offer. I am so excited to begin the next chapter of my life at such an amazing institution! College Sophomore. Jul 1. 9Overall Experience. The alumni from this school gives us a framework of people we can reach out to and internships and programs we can apply to. College Sophomore. Jul 1. 9Health & Safety. I always felt safe walking around on campus, day or night. However, it is very easy for tourists to get into the dorms. College Sophomore. Jul 1. 9Campus Housing. I felt as if the process by which freshman roommates are chosen was not effective in my case because my roommate and I had nothing in common and had many problems halfway through the year (leading us to separate rooms). The upperclassmen lottery to Leverett was stressful because there weren't enough options for blocking/rooming groups to stay together. Other than that, I liked Thayer and am excited to live in Leverett. College Senior. Jul 1. Athletics. The athletic opportunities are amazing. Just probe around and you'll find anything that suits you. Sorry, there are no reviews.
